Undergraduate Programs
Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (BALS)
We designed the BALS program for nontraditional students who want an engaging academic experience that is also flexible and convenient. Students develop a solid foundation in math, science, literature, writing, and history. They also learn problem-solving, research, and computer skills that are valuable in any job market. Students choose a concentration such as technology, business, pre-med, or pre-law by working with their advisers, then they select a customized path that culminates with a capstone project that highlights the knowledge and skills developed over the course of the degree. The same curriculum is available for both face-to-face classroom and online using highly interactive and collaborative methods that address a variety of student learning styles. Students are welcome to mix and match the two types of learning experience.
Bachelor of Science in General Studies (BSGS)
The BSGS focuses on the three competencies of success in technology professions: leadership, innovation, and project management. Our students build a solid foundation of skills in these areas to prepare them for their continued studies. Students may select from a wide range of directed studies courses that focus in one of several broad areas such as technology, management, humanities, arts, applied sciences, natural sciences, or social sciences.
Bachelor of Science in Technology Management (BSTM)
The BSTM major prepares students for advanced positions in technology professions. The administrative and management skills gained through the major prepare students for further study or advancement in their field. Students develop a solid foundation in math, science, literature, writing, and history. They also learn the problem-solving, research, and computer skills that are valuable in any job market. Students choose a concentration such as technology or business by working with their advisers and select a customized path that culminates with a capstone project that demonstrates the knowledge and skills developed over the course of the degree.
