AccreditationCALMAT is fully committed to seeking accreditation from Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). An application will be submitted shortly after the first batch of students graduate from CALMAT; i.e., in first quarter of 2010. We anticipate that the accreditation process will take about 6 months from the time the application is submitted. The university knows that accreditation is very important to most of its students. So, please do not hesitate to ask questions related to this topic. You will benefit from the “grandfather” clause of accreditation. For example, if you graduate in December 2009, you seek a job in (for example) Fall of 2010, and your employer asks if you graduated from an accredited university. In this case, you can answer YES even though CALMAT was not accredited when you actually graduated. This is a process applicable to all new universities and colleges accredited by ACICS. |
