Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (BALS)
It is never too late to earn a CALMAT degree. Many of them successful working professionals, students in the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program are from every age group and multitudes of life situations. All students in the Liberal Studies program share an eagerness to advance their understanding of the world and develop the tools they need to reach their life goals. All have learned that, with the extensive support of the CALMAT community, they can earn the degree they always wanted. The Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program is designed for nontraditional students who want an engaging academic experience that is also flexible and convenient. Same curriculum is offered in both face-to-face classrooms and highly interactive, collaborative online methods to faciliate different learning styles of students. Students can choose to mix and match the two types of learning experinces. CALMAT BALS program offers a wealth of resources to facilitate the transition back into a rigorous program of study. Courses and individual help are available to polish writing, logic, and rhetoric skills. Academic advisors and faculty mentors provide one-on-one counseling and direction. The Writing Center offers students help to bring their writing up to a level that will advance their success both in school and on the job. CALMAT BALS program prepares students to seamlessly transition to master degree such as CALMAT's MBA, M.A. Interpretation and Translation. |
